Brandname is a string of characters displayed when a business sends a Brandname SMS message or makes a Brandname Voice call. This is a mandatory regulation under Decree 91/2020/ND-CP to manage and limit spam messages and calls.

1. Legal basis
Decree 91/2020/ND-CP dated August 14, 2020.
Circular 22/2021/TT-BTTTT dated December 13, 2021 of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
2. Application for registration of identification name
For organizations/enterprises:
Application for registration of a business name (Form No. 01, Appendix to Circular 22).
Notarized copy: Business registration certificate or Decision on establishment.
Documents proving the right to use the business name (if there is a protected trademark).
For individuals/business households:
Application for registration of a business name (Form No. 01).
Copy of valid ID card/CCCD or Passport.
Business registration certificate (if any).
Documents related to ownership of the business name (if any).
3. How to apply
Currently, you have 3 options to submit your application:
a) Submit online at dichvucong.mic.gov.vn
Visit https://dichvucong.mic.gov.vn.
Log in with a digital signature or digital SIM.
Create an electronic profile and submit online.
After the profile is approved, send a paper copy for verification by post or submit it directly.
b) Submit in person
Address: Department of Information Security - 5th Floor, 115 Tran Duy Hung, Cau Giay, Hanoi
c) Send by post
The paper profile is sent with a declaration with a profile code. Clearly state the content "Application for registration of an identification name".
4. Processing time
Within 01 working day from the date of receiving the complete and valid documents, the Department of Information Security will process the documents.
If the documents need to be supplemented or adjusted, the Department will respond via the system or email.
5. Brandname identification fee
New issuance: 200,000 VND / identifier / time
Re-issuance or information modification: 100,000 VND / time
After being requested to pay the fee, you will transfer money according to the instructions and send payment confirmation to email: tendinhdanh@vncert.vn
6. Receive the Identity Name Certificate
The Information Security Department will send the Brandname Identification Certificate via the email registered in the declaration.
This is a mandatory document when a business deploys SMS Brandname or Voice Brandname services with a network operator.
7. Instructions for looking up the status of an identifier name
You can check whether an identifier has been registered in two ways:

8. Validity and Renewal
The Identity Name Certificate is valid for 03 years from the date of issue.
Before the expiry date, you can renew the identity name by re-submitting the same application as the initial registration.
9. Cases of ID revocation
The ID may be revoked if:
Used for improper purposes, sending spam messages/calls.
Not paying maintenance fees after 30 days from the expiration date.
Requested for revocation from relevant individuals/organizations.
Not using the ID for a long time.

Prepare documents.
Submit documents online at dichvucong.mic.gov.vn or directly/by post.
Receive fee notification → transfer.
Send payment confirmation.
Receive identity name certificate via email.
Look up or renew when needed.
After successfully registering an identifier, you can use that identifier to continue registering SMS Brandname and Voice Brandname services with the network operator.
